Microsoft, no more PDF reader on Windows 10 Mobile

Microsoft has really staked a lot on the Edge browser and is working to make it increasingly suitable for users' needs and, above all, able to withstand the competition of far more established rivals.

What we are about to tell you, however, may make many turn up their noses, since apparently we are faced with one of Microsoft's brilliant ideas for push users to use what it wants: starting from 1 July 2016, in fact, the PDF reader default of 10 Windows Mobile will cease to exist and will no longer be supported.

Microsoft, no more PDF reader on Windows 10 Mobile

The advice for anyone using it is to switch to Microsoft Edge while for new installations of the operating system, the browser will be the default system reader.

However, this may not be a very smart move, unless by that date Microsoft adds features to the browser's integrated reader that bring it at least on par with the most elementary sui generis apps, such as the possibility to print the file And that of read password protected documents - both currently missing on Microsoft Edge for Windows 10 Mobile.

Whether you like it or not, the truth is this: from July 2016st XNUMX Microsoft has decided that there will no longer be a default app for reading PDFs, on the contrary, Edge will be enough. Unless you want to fall back (which is very likely) to alternatives like Adobe Acrobat Reader or Foxit MobilePDF.

    It would be understandable.
