Microsoft had made its intentions clear from the start - a year ago - when the latest operating system was released Windows 10. For the first time, users were given the opportunity to upgrade your machine for free Windows to the latest version according to very specific rules, among which the most important: the system update for Windows 7 / Windows 8 and 8.1 users would have been free for the first year only, after which the only way to get it would have been to buy an original license for Windows 10.
Today we have fully entered the last 30 days possible to upgrade for free to Windows 10 since the deadline to update will be il 29 July 2016.
Apparently we are sure that this deadline will not be extended, so for those who have not yet updated it is good to decide quickly whether to do it or not. The words of Yusuf Mehdi, Microsoft's vice president of marketing and market strategy, were very clear indeed:
The free upgrade to Windows 10 was the first in Microsoft's history, helping people upgrade faster than ever. But time is running out. The free update will end on July 29th and we don't want anyone to miss it!
And in fact he is not all wrong; Windows 10 is running on more than 350 million machines right now and this number is only destined to grow.
For those who do not know, and perhaps are still undecided on whether or not to upgrade to Windows 10 (which, we remember, will be thelatest operating system Microsoft) in August a major update of the operating system will be released which will introduce many new features and improvements. Yes, because Windows 10 is the basis that Microsoft will use for the operating systems to come: it will not change the operating system per se but substantial updates will be introduced on it that will improve performance and always add new features.
