Pokémon Go has another event that returns during the month of June and that is the Bug Out event for 2020. The event will start June 26 at 8:00 AM and continue until July 1 at 22:00 PM in your time zone. This will be a great way to say goodbye to June and anyone looking to add Bug-type Pokémon to your roster.
Initially, developer Niantic didn't share too many details about the event from their month-end blog, similar to the solstice event for 2020, which runs from June 19 to 24. However, new details have been shared, and now we have a much better idea of what the Bug Out 2020 event will look like. You can expect to use your incense to attract more Bug-type Pokémon to your location.
Bug-type Pokémon will spawn more frequently during the event, and you can hatch them from 5-kilometer eggs you get during the event window. You can find Scyther, Venipede, Dwebble, and many more. Event-exclusive research tasks will also be available to capture more powerful Bug-type Pokémon. You can also find particularly powerful Pokémon enemies in raids during the event. All Trainers will also receive twice the catch experience for catching Bug-type Pokémon.
These are the specific Bug-type Pokémon attracted to Frankincense on certain days:
- Nincada will be drawn to the player's incense from June 26 at 8:00 a.m. to June 27 at 23:59 p.m. local time
- Wurmple will be drawn to the player's incense from June 28 at 12:00 p.m. to June 29 at 23:59 p.m. local time
- Scyther will be drawn to the player's incense from June 30 at 12:00 p.m. to July 1 at 22:00 p.m. local time
All players will also have the option to capture a Shiny Dwebble as they will be available during the Bug Out 2020 event.
Pinsir will also have an exclusive raid day on June 28 from 11:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m. local time. Pinsir will be available for three-star raids. You will be able to purchase a Remote Raid Pass bundle available at the Pokémon Go in-game store for 1 PokéCoin where you can get three Remote Raid Passes.
During the event, players can expect to see Kricketot on June 30 as well due to the Spotlight event which runs from 18:00 p.m. to 19:00 p.m. in your time zone. This will only happen for an hour, so if it pops up at random, you can see pretty quickly why so many Kricketots have come to play.
