The Buddy Adventure feature lets you customize your favorite Pokémon more than ever before, and I'm going to walk you through how it all works - what activities you can do with your Pokémon and what perks you'll unlock to increase your bond to max level.

There is a lot you need to know about Buddy Adventures, so let's dig deep. Here's how to define friends, how to increase your friend level, and what perks you will gain to gain Pokémon affection.

How the New Buddy Adventure System Works | Increased CP, bonus rewards and more

The Buddy Adventure system allows your trainer to set up a friend - a Pokémon friend appears on the map, follows you, and unlocks special perks when you gain affection by completing special activities with your friend.

To select a buddy, go to Map view and push it Buddy button in the upper right corner. You can also select your Buddy Profile On your Trainer profile menu.

Once you have selected your buddy, you will be able to complete your daily activities to win hearts of affection - the more heart you win, the higher you will be able to rank. They are four Friends levels, and each unlocks special additional perks for your Pokémon.

How to increase the contact level

To increase your contact level, you will need to perform a variety of daily activities. There are so many different activities you can participate in - and you can gain more affection by temporarily raising your friend Pokémon's mood.

À raise the mood et win hearts of affection, you will have to perform different activities with your Pokémon Buddy. Here's all you can do.

Treat your friends to treats: To walk with your boyfriend, you have to feed him. Give Bay ou Poffino to fill you up on Buddy's hunger meter.
Walk together: Buddy will only appear on the map if his hunger indicator is full. The buddy will stay until the hunger meter is empty.
Pet your boyfriend: Enter AR mode and pet your Pokémon.
Fight with your boyfriend: Fight in any battle with your buddy - Gyms, Raids, Trainer Battles or Team GO Rocket Battles.
Take a screenshot: Enter AR mode and take a photo with your boyfriend.
Visit new places: In Map View, visit PokeStops or Gyms you've never visited before. Complete activities at new locations with your friend and you will earn bonus affection.

You can also access specials Bonus activities - check your friends profile page to find bonus items. Your Pokémon will give you a souvenir or gift to visit the Gyms / PokeStops it wants to visit.

All the perks you can unlock

Earning affection hearts will slowly increase your touch level. There are four buddy levels, and each one earns you special perks for your buddy! Here's everything you can unlock.

Buddy level 1
- Adventure with buddy: Your buddy joins you on the map when his hunger meter is full.
- Readable mood: Your buddy unlocks the Mood Meter. You can raise your friend's mood to get bonus rewards.

Buddy level 2
- Catch Assist: Your buddy will re-throw a failed Pokeball when he tries to catch a Pokémon.
- Present: While exploring, your friend might send you berries or potions as gifts. Open the gifts in AR mode.

Buddy level 3
- Souvenirs: Your buddy will give you souvenirs for the different areas you visit. Memories commemorate the places you've visited - so travel to as many places as possible!
- PokeStop Bonus: Your contact will highlight a PokeStop on your map. Visit and spin the PokeStop to earn bonus rewards.

Buddy Level 4
- CP Boost: Your Pokémon Buddy, although defined as your Buddy, will see its CP increase.
- Best Friends Ribbon: Your boyfriend wears a special ribbon, commemorating his status as a best buddy!
