If in the past it was possible to identify a service provider from the first three digits of the telephone number, this is no longer possible since portability has existed.
In order to estimate and reduce call costs, it would be useful to be able to know to which operator a certain number belongs. On the iPhone this is possible thanks to theapp Provider Finder.
For those who want to know the manager of only some of the numbers in the address book, the Lite version of the app (free) may suffice, which limits the possible requests to 20. For those who, on the other hand, come into contact with always new telephone numbers, the 89 cents required to purchase the full version are a highly recommended expense.
Both versions of this app are available on the App Store. >> link here
Once you have purchased the app, enter the phone number of which you are interested in finding out the operator in the appropriate field, or
touch the symbol on the right to search for the number in the phone book. Once this is done, click on Check call number.
The number will be shown next to the manager's name. If multiple phone numbers are associated with a contact selected from the address book, Provider Finder will find (in a single request) the managers of each number, so that you can choose the most convenient one.
By clicking on the arrow on the right, you can call or send an SMS to the selected number, or choose to label the number in the phone book. With the paid version, you can also perform a full phonebook scan and tag each number.
