Shiny Pokémon are a rarity in Pokémon games, and these variations have a distinct color appearance from their traditional look. A shiny variant is extremely rare. Traditionally, every encounter with a Pokémon in the wild has a chance that it will be a shiny version, accompanied by a variety of small sparks when it first appears. In Pokémon Masters, you can acquire a Shiny Pokémon by dropping it from an egg.
Eggs you receive from Professor Bellis by completing major story milestones or training areas in the game have a chance to contain a shiny version of a Pokémon from the available supply that hatch. Right now, the only Pokémon available that you can receive eggs and have it turn shiny is Tauros. When you hatch a Pokemon from an egg, you can use it as a sync pair, allowing you to show off your brilliance with friends in co-op battles. A Pokémon hatched from an egg will have a different and passive role than its traditional unhatched variant. You want to consistently hatch these Pokémon to receive a new role and passive that will complement your playstyle.
These are the available Pokémon that you can hatch from eggs in Pokémon Masters:
- Tauros
- Meowth (female)
- Bellsprout (female)
- Nidoran (female)
- Zubat (male only)
- Rattata (male only)
The gendered variants of the Pokémon listed above will allow their gendered counterparts to join Pokémon Masters in the future, and you can hatch them upon release. You can expect brighter versions of Pokémon to be released in the future, but hatching them, so far, is the only method to achieve them.
