This can apply to any language, but given the release of Sett, there has been a surge in interest in Japanese as a league client language.
Why Japanese?
With the recent popularity of the LeagueVoice change of Sett's release clients, one has to consider the reason. You don't need to look any further than just who voices Sett - Takehito Koyasu, better known as vampire Dio in the popular anime and manga franchise JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Some of Sett's lines are delivered in an incredibly dio-esque way, and the mutual fans between the franchises are crazy. Those who switch their language to Japanese will also be delighted to find fan favorites such as Masako Nozawa from renowned Dragon Ball providing classic Wukong lines.
So how do I do it?
Changing the language of your League of Legends client is a bit more daunting than before. That's not to say it's not simple, however. Once at the click of a button, you will now have to browse through their League installation's data logs to edit a single line of text.
Start by browsing through your League installation until you find your Config folder. Once inside, open the LeagueClientSettings file in Notepad.
Once inside the LeagueClientSettings file, edit the following line, found under globals:
locale: "xx_XX" -> locale: "ja_JP"
From there you should be more than good to “MUDA! MUDA! MUDA!” Your way to victory.
