When new Pokémon arrive in Pokémon Go, it can feel like a race to try and capture the best possible to add to your collection. Sometimes they're still left for everyone to get, and other times developer Niantic creates exclusive Pokémon treats for those who want to add to their Pokémon collection. The latest Pokémon to debut in the game is Alomomola, which is coming out with Pokémon Go's 2020 Valentine's Day celebration.
Alomomola is a Water-type Pokémon, which makes it weak to Grass and Lightning-type attacks. It doesn't evolve into another Pokemon, so when you capture it you don't need to think about trying to evolve it with more Candy or trying to find an Evolution Stone to make it stronger. .
The chance to capture Alomomola will occur during the Valentine's Day 2020 celebration, which runs from February 14 at 8:00 a.m. to February 17 at 22:00 p.m. at your local time. During the event, Pink Pokémon will have a higher chance of showing up, with Alomomola and Audino making their debuts. However, Alomomola and Audino are going to be extremely difficult to meet, and every trainer in the game must rely on their luck to meet these two new Pokémon.
A great way to increase your odds is to use decoy mods. Typically, they only work for half an hour, but during the event they will last for six hours. You may want to store them in the in-game store and wait to use them during the event. Doing this doesn't guarantee that you'll get them through your location, but it doesn't hurt to increase your odds. Plus, you might find that some great pink Pokémon are more than happy to stop by.
Catching Alomomola is that this case won't last forever, and we don't know if Alomomola will remain available after the Valentine's Day event. If Alomomola persists, they could be a rare Pokémon to encounter in the wild, or they could be available in specific 10 or 7 kilometer eggs. But for now, keep your eyes peeled for them February 14-17 during the event, and plan a hands-on strategy to capture them during the festivities.
