Best Lifepath
There are three life paths you can choose from in Cyberpunk 2077, and you'll select one before you even have a chance to start customizing V. Your life path decision is arguably the most important choice you'll make when making the most of your life path. character creation. This is your character's background, and it will affect the openness of the game and how other characters react to you throughout Night City.
The three life courses are Nomad, Streetkid and Corpo. They are all very different from each other, but there is no right answer. Ultimately, you have to choose the background that suits the type of character you want to play. If you want to be a ruthless businessman, go for Corpo. If you're more in the mood for a Night City underworld criminal, choose Streetkid. If Night City isn't your thing at all, go with Nomad so you can start in the Badlands surrounding the megalopolis.
Here are basic summaries of the three life courses to help you choose one.
- Nomadic - You are an alien who loots junkyards and fuel depots in the arid suburb of Night City. Nomads have a bad reputation among the inhabitants of Night City, especially the elite, but the nomadic communities of the Badlands are very close-knit.
- Streetkid - You've spent your life on the streets of Night City, with your fair share of gangs, repairmen and criminals. Thanks to your experience, you do not lack street intelligence and connections in the clearest areas of the city.
- Body - You are a ruthless corporate agent. The Night City corporate world is rife with corruption and you are no stranger to it, for you have bent the rules in your favor and exploited the secrets of others to your advantage.
For more details, see our full Life Course guide which further describes each of the three routes.
