Cards like Photon Thraser and Photon Vanisher will also be key elements for the new Photon decks, and they are of course included in Photon of Galaxy. Other notable cards, like Photon Advancer and Photon Stream of Destruction can be acquired for free right now, either by upgrading Kite Tenjo, the last character in the game, or by simply participating in the Number Hunter: Kite Tenjo event.
Let's take a look at the basic structure that a new Photon Deck should have. These are suggestions on which staples to include, so there is room for experimentation. Also, keep in mind that we will need to see actions before we standardize some cards, so of course changes may occur in the future.
Decklist
The following Decklist can be edited and edited as you see fit, but we've included the basics you'll need on your team.
- Galactic Eyes Photon Dragon x3
- Photon Advancer x3
- Photon Thrasher x3
- Photon Vanisher x3
- Photon Lizard x3
- Destruction Photon Flux x3 - Mandatory
- Giant trunade - Recommended
- Cosmic Cyclone - Recommended
- Book of the Moon - Situational
- Photon Trident – Situationnel
Traps aren't really necessary in this type of deck, as Photon Stream of Destruction can fill all the necessary roles. If you really want to use some, here are my recommendations.
- Treacherous trap hole
- The Karma Coupe
The Extra Deck can be as customizable as you want, with lots of different options, but I'm going to include the most impactful cards for this Photon deck.
- Starliege Lord Galaxion - the only one that is considered mandatory. 2 copies would do
- Vylon Disigma
- Number 39: Utopia
- C39 number: Utopia Ray
- Starliege Paladynamo
For F2P players, here are some great alternatives if you don't have the budget to have a full set of necessary key cards, like Photon Thrasher. Remember that while these are good replacements, they are not optimal.
- Photon Chargeman
- Photon crusher
- Photon lead
- Paired Photon Lizard
- Photon Dragon Paladin
Define skills
Kite Tenjo has the two set skills we need for this deck.
- Tenjo Kite - Galaxy Photon
- Kite Tenjo - A Cosmic Bane: Galaxy-Eyes
The former is the preferable choice, as it allows more search power for your deck.
How to use
How to use any Photon Deck can be a bit tricky getting used to, but in the end, it's not really that hard. Your main goal is to constantly try to invoke your signature card, Galactic Eyes Photon Dragon. The specific deck is easily successful, as each card included can be combined to achieve the ultimate summon. With our glorious Dragon and its banishing effects, you can easily clean up the whole field. Destruction photon flux can be added to this power of compensation, without any inconvenience.
To summon our Galaxy-Eyes juggernaut, you must use Photon Thrasher et Photon Vanisher as much as possible. Photon Lizard is here to primarily research the former, so you can chain your combo to Vanisher, ensuring you have a Galaxy-Eyes in your hand. Photon Advancer only adds to this game, just filling in the gaps whenever needed. Finally, never forget your Starliege Lord Galaxion, which can literally bring Galaxy-Eyes into play, from your hand or from your Deck! With so many ways to banish your opponent's tools, he's sure to have a hard time keeping up, even with infamous decks like the Noble Knights.
Galaxy photon is about to release today, so good luck to anyone who tries out the new archetype.
