Developer Gearbox has announced that it will be celebrating the release of Borderlands 3 with an anniversary event featuring six unique mini-events. Each mini-event will last for a week, giving players a full six weeks to enjoy enhanced loot, more legendary weapons, and additional challenges in the Borderlands 3 world. The first event kicks off on July 30 and the anniversary celebration ends on September 10.

- ECHOcast Overload (9 a.m. PT July 30 at 8:59 a.m. PT August 6) - Better chances to score loot during Rare Chest Events in the ECHOcast Twitch Expansion
- Boss Loot Bonus (9 a.m. PT August 6 - 8:59 a.m. PT August 13) - Most bosses have an increased chance of dropping Legendary Loot
- Loot Monster Mayhem (9 a.m. PT August 13 to 8:59 a.m. PT August 20) - Increased the spawn rate of enemies of the Loot variant
- Show Me Eridium (9 a.m. PT Aug 20 - 8:59 a.m. PT Aug 27) - Eridium drops and Eridium item discounts increased
- Mayhem Made Mild (9 a.m. PT August 27 at 8:59 a.m. PT September 3) - All easy modifiers in Mayhem Mode
- Making It Rain (9 a.m. PT September 3 to 8:59 a.m. PT September 10) - Enemies drop more money into the game
You do not need to have purchased any of the DLC for Borderlands 3 or the Season Pass to participate in these events. These events are deleted every Thursday of the week along with the weekly game patch. As the event celebrates the game's first year, you can expect Gearbox to release additional loot-based events for that. players have the chance to earn a variety of powerful legendaries to overcome the toughest challenges.
