With the Borderlands 3 Broken Hearts Day event going on, you might be wondering what rewards are in store if you log in and start playing the game. Although this is a more moderate event than the very fun Halloween event that Gearbox has organized, there are still some great rewards to get your hands on.
First of all, you need to start the event and it should happen automatically after downloading the update. As Maurice is running the event again, you don't have to visit him this time. Remember, you can always opt out if you want to focus on something else for a while. All you need to do to unsubscribe is go back to the title screen, then when choosing your character you can choose to enable or disable the event at the bottom of the menu before loading it.
If you've been playing for a while and can't see a heart, just make sure the event is enabled on the loading screen.
To get your hands on the rewards, you will need to break the hearts that will appear on enemies throughout the game.
Rewards for Destroying Hearts include:
- 10 - "ECHOcardiogram" echo skin
- 25 - "Cosmic Romance" weapon jewelry
- 50 - Terminal Polyaimorous "Legendary Maliwan SMG
- 75 Vault Hunter "Heartbreaker" skin
- 100 - Legendary Jakobs Sniper Rifle "Wedding Invitation"
The reward will be unlocked when you reach each stage, the number shown above is not the total number for each reward. So at 10 you will gain the Echo Skin, then 15 Broken Hearts later you will gain the Weapon Trinket, etc.
