You'll need to head to the Nether to get started
Build a Nether Portal (Obsidian 14), then head inside the portal where you'll head to a mining expedition.
Stock up on the items you will need
Ancient debris is very, very rare. If your only goal is to find ancient debris and craft Netherite items that you could mine for a while, then bring the necessary supplies. Depending on how you plan to tackle your mining work, you can either do a few enchantments to give yourself a more durable or efficient pickaxe. Or you could dig with TNT as well. Whichever method you choose, you will be heading to the same place.
Around level 13, this is where you'll want to dig for ancient debris
Ancient Debris will appear in multiple groups. You can find in one block, two blocks or three block variations and we only found it on Y levels 13-17. So make sure you go down far enough, but not to the end of the world if you want your best chance of finding it.
While digging, you'll also want to make sure you keep an eye out for the dangers of the Nether. This includes angry mobs, lava, and more. Once you've got your hands on the Ancient Debris, it's time to turn them into Netherite.
Turn Ancient Debris into Netherite
Once you have the Ancient Debris, it's time to melt it down in Netherite. You can do this with the Blast Furnace to make Netherite Scraps. Once you have four Netherite Shards, you can then combine those Shards with four Gold Bars on the crafting space to craft a Netherite Bar.
Finally, once you have the Netherite Ingot, you can simply combine it with any diamond tool to create the Netherite version of this item.
