Minecraft is one of the most amazing gaming experiences a person can have even in our time. The feeling of jumping into a new server is beaten by the gaming community. However, while you can have a great time as a single player, it's always more fun to have friends join you on a server. If you're having trouble figuring out how to play with friends on PlayStation 4, follow this quick guide.
Play with PS4 friends in Minecraft
First of all, to play with friends online in Minecraft, each participant must have an active PlayStation Plus account. Along with this, a stable internet connection is recommended for a smoother experience.
Once you launch Minecraft, select "Multiplayer" from the lobby screen. If you choose Solo, you won't be able to invite any friends to that particular server. After selecting Multiplayer, you will be presented with several different options.
- LAN
- Online server
- Minecraft Kingdoms
- Split screen
The most used option of the four is the online server. This option is also the easiest option for teaming up with your friends on your own server. Select the Online Server option and you will be transported to a new biome on a new server. Once in the new world, your friends can join you after sending them an invite. To do this, just tap the Touchpad and tap Square. You should see a list of your friends and from there you can choose which ones to invite to the server.
Once your friends are in, they can send their own invitations. However, since you are the one who started the server, your friends will only be able to play if you are online and on the server. If you log out, the server will also be logged out.
If you want to play with friends who have created their own server, tap the trackpad and then tap Triangle. This will bring up a list of all the invitations you have received. If you see the invitation on the correct server, hit the Accept button and you'll be transported to the world.
