iOS 11 is coming, but what are the functions that will land directly on ours iPhone once the update is complete? A lot changes compared to the previous version, obviously for the better. So let's see the most interesting news, among the many available:
The control center is now really… a center! In iOS 11 now the control center extends into a single page, and just press the 3D Touch on each icon to access the advanced functions of each device. As if that weren't enough, you can customize it by going to the settings. At the moment you can only enter Apple programs and functions, but maybe in the future ...
The flashlight has different intensities. Nothing lower or higher, now you can adjust the flashlight in four different lighting intensities.
Now you can record your iPhone screen without the need for programs or Quicktime. You can find the function under Settings => Control Center.
Do you have an iPhone without 3D Touch? In iOS 11, some functions have been adapted for those without 3D Touch, so if you want to access the advanced settings (like in the control center) you can do everything even without 3D Touch.
The keyboard has been a bit updated… but nothing special, really. A function has been added to write with one hand, squeezing everything on one side or the other of the screen.
It is now possible to share Wifi passwords with other devices. As long as they have iOS 11 or a compatible device with that operating system.
Some new effects have been added in iMessages. The ones already known are Echo (makes a single message appear multiple times on the screen) and Spotlight / spotlight (to highlight a message with a light).
Now it is possible to synchronize our messages on iCloud, so even the various Macs we have can extract the messages written on iPhone or iPad!
The App Store has been updated. And a lot! The various sections have been better organized and a couple of new sections are included, such as App of the Day and new App functions that already exist. Developers can respond directly to reviews.
It is now possible to scan QR codes with our camera. A long-requested feature that often required the use of external apps, the internal camera app can now read QR codes!
Some formats will change. For example the photos will be saved in HEIF, which are much more efficient in quality and take up twice as much space as needed. The videos will also have a new compression (but not a different format). If you don't like HEIF you can always save as JPEG, you will be given the choice.
Bye bye, 32bit apps! With the arrival of iOS 11 32bit apps will no longer work, so start keeping an eye on old games or apps that still run at 32bit. Everything must pass to 64!
