Microsoft, which bought Mojang and Minecraft in 2021, announced at E3 the arrival of a major update for Minecraft this summer to allow players to play together.

Only the historic version of Minecraft, developed in Java and available only on PC, remains apart in the catalog and will not offer a common multiplayer mode. This version offers more features than the others, so it would have been impossible to allow players to play together, without the risk of having invisible objects on mobile.
A graphical update on PC and Xbox
Microsoft took advantage of the announcement of the Xbox One X, its new game console competing with the PS4 Pro and designed for gaming in 4K, to unveil an update to Minecraft that will improve the graphics of the game.
The company had the good idea to keep the same artistic direction, which made the success of the game, but will add compatibility with 4K and a lot of visual effects like dynamic shadows, fog and light effects or movement. for grass and trees.
This Super Duper Graphics Pack will be available this fall on PC and Xbox, it will be optional since it will only influence the graphics of the game, and Mojang warns that it will require significantly more power than the classic version of Minecraft.
