We had already covered the new Opera browser feature that allowed anyone to benefit from a free VPN to surf anonymously with another IP address and overcome blocks, filters and regional restrictions (article below). As stated in the description of the Opera VPN app allows you to overcome firewalls, blocks and regional restrictions, choosing to get a new IP address with a nationality of your choice between: UK, Germany, USA, Netherlands and Singapore. There are no time limits or bandwidth limits: just leave it active and surf.
The browsing speed depends on the load of the server we are connected to but in general it is very good, slightly slower than the "raw" connection (without any VPN). At the moment we can't choose other countries to "disguise" ourselves, but future releases will certainly improve the selection of countries to get the new IP.
A really good app, to try if you care about privacy on an Apple device. We look forward to the Android version so we can review it in the best way.
