Which new iMac model to buy if you want to use a VESA adapter

Apple sells the new iMac both in its known version (with stand) and in a VESA compatible variable, which means that users who intend to mount it with a different system must know which model to choose.

Apple has just announced a series of redesigned iMacs, both on the outside, with the addition of colors and on the inside, which incorporate the M1 chip and improve audio and video capabilities, among other improvements.

As with previous iMac models, the standard version of the iMac includes a built-in stand for those who wish to place it on the table. But those users who want to use their own mounting system should make sure not to order the model with a base.

For these users, Apple has a 24-inch iMac with a built-in VESA adapter. With the four-screw adapter attached to the back, users can install the VESA variant on different arms or stands.

The VESA compatible iMac is available in the same configurations and prices as the standard model.

Also, users should note that the base 24-inch iMac is only available in blue, green, pink, and silver. Only the top models are available in the other colors: yellow, orange and purple.

Another difference between the models includes the lack of two additional USB-C ports on the cheaper iMac model. The model only has two Thunderbolt 3 ports, while the higher models have a couple of additional USB-C ports.
