Call of Duty: Warzone fanatics saw plenty of battle royale game modes that thankfully gave the genre some refreshing twists and turns. In a blog post on the Activision site, the publisher details that Season Five Reloaded (a second portion of new content) will likely bring the wildest mode to Warzone yet. Under the name King Slayer, this version of the game combines older, recently missing ideas with new features.
Oddly enough, the new battle royale mode, according to Activision, is actually a “full-scale team deathmatch”. So, suffering just one torturous death does not mean your end. Instead, King Slayer will grant you as many lives as possible, while trying to take out one of the top five teams. These high priority teams will be marked as "king" on your minimap. So, they can't hide from anyone, but that doesn't mean they'll be easy to take out.
If your team ends their reign you will receive points and with enough points you will also be marked as a "king". Don't worry, though, as your team will also be rewarded with free kill streaks to keep your lives intact.
All players in this mode will see the return of the deadly movement circle. It will surely be a quick way to remove any comfort for those who are camping in the standings. Unlike the old temporary fashions, however, the circle will not collapse. As the first timed game mode, you'll now have to beware of the endgame clock, enemies, and the moving circle.
It's a challenge, no doubt, but it's always worth a try if your team is known for their number of wins rather than their ability to stay alive. You'll want to jump on it ASAP, with the message saying King Slayer will only be available during Reloaded Season Five. It's unclear if this mode will be restored later, but Reloaded will be running from August 28 to September 7.
