The Division 12 Title Update 2 (version 1.29) patch notes

Title 12 update brings a host of changes and additions. New gear, an easier path to god rolls, summit changes, and more. The amount of text you're about to scroll through is a testament to the plethora of content and edits that have found their way into Season 4.

There is too much to sum up. Start by reading the patch notes below and use the category headings to target the parts that you find most relevant or interesting.



The Division 12 Title patch 2 patch notes

New season - End of the day before

  • New Manhunt tasks you with taking on 5 rogue agents over a 12-week period starting December 8. Shoot all five to unlock the new Achilles Pulse skill variant.
    • The infamous Rogue Agent Faye Lau is the main target this season.
  • New gold ball of the world event.
  • New Outguard Clothing Events and Code Name: Nightmare
  • New Viper, Kestrel, Magnus & Circe leagues.
  • New rewards
    • 2 new exotics
    • 1 new set of equipment
    • 2 new named weapons
    • 2 new equipment named
    • 1 brand new set
  • Participating in the above activities will allow players to gain season experience that contributes to their season level.
  • Playing Conflict will grant XP by gaining Conflict levels above 30.
  • Playing in the Dark Zone will help earn XP by gaining DZ levels above 30.

New feature: optimization station

Title update 12 marks the return of a powerful tool for your endgame builds - the Optimization Station. With it, you will be able to harness the full potential of every piece of equipment you use for a price. The Optimization Station will be a new menu accessible through the Recalibration Station and will require newly introduced Resource Currencies to operate. With it, you can upgrade equipment attributes beyond their current throws to their upper limits.



  • Step by step improve the attributes of any weapon or piece of equipment in your inventory to their maximum values.
  • Requires new materials from all over the game.
  • Alloys and Weaves - Acquired by deconstructing Premium or Better Loot.
  • Tactical Ratings - Acquired by defeating final bosses in Missions, Bounties, and the Summit. (Greater difficulties produce greater quantities.)
  • Field Reconnaissance Data - acquired by completing checkpoints in LZ, landmarks in DZ, and some summit floors. (Greater difficulties produce greater quantities.)
  • SHD Calibration - Awarded for certain daily and weekly projects.
  • All materials can be made. Manufacturing plans can be rewarded with high level checkpoints or project completion.
  • Field Reconnaissance SHD + calibration data can also be obtained from Summit Caches, which are rewarded for completing new summit challenges. They can also be acquired by leveling your SHD watch.

Additionally, we've made the following changes based on feedback from PTS:

  • Optimization material drops for encounters with untrusted agents:
    • Rogue Agents now drop a random stack of weapon or gear upgrade materials.
    • The Last Thief will drop a random pile of Tactical Assessment materials and a pile of Equipment and Weapon Optimization materials.

New Feature: Global Event Provider

The way Global Event rewards work will change with the title update 12. You will now earn stars by completing World Event Challenges, which can be spent in the World Event Store. Here you will be able to purchase Crafting Caches, Seasonal Caches, Exotic Caches, and more.

Summit upgrades

Developer Comment: With the changes made to The Summit by TU12, we want to complete the experience with a new progression system, kudos and more.

Summit challenges

  • Players can activate two summit challenges at once
    • 1 tactic + 1 ascent
    • These are specific to each player, but in a group it is probably more beneficial to have the same challenges activated together.
  • Each Summit Challenge can only be completed once with 1 to 100 climbs
    • All completed challenges reset once you complete floor 100
    • Ongoing those who retain their condition
  • Increased rewards per challenge completed
    • Rewards include targeted loot items, Summit Challenge Caches (which have buff and recovery materials), XP, and more
  • New tab on the Mega-Map screen to activate these challenges

Congratulations

  • Added 15 new Summit congratulations

Additional gameplay improvements

  • The Summit Weekly project has been adjusted so that it only requires 30 floors
  • Completing every third floor and every tenth floor now rewards one additional targeted loot item
    • It would be at the end of the floors: 3, 6, 9, 10, 13,…, 96, 99, 100
  • Added a new lens type and some new lens variants
  • Adjustment of the frequency of specific objectives
    • This should make meeting multiple drone targets in a row less frequent.
  • Adjusted the frequency of Rogue Agent encounters at the Summit
    • Reduced the cooldown between when you may encounter thieves a second time

New Exotics

  • Exotic Shotgun - Scorpion
    • Shotgun based on the SIX12.
    • Talent - Septic Shock
      • Shooting at a target applies stacks of venom, which last for 10 seconds. Increasing charges adds more severe debuffs to the target.
    • PVE:
      • 1 – Poison (PVP Bleed)
      • 3 - Disoriented (PVP interrupt)
      • 6 - Shock (PVP Ensnare)
      • 7 - Target takes 20% damage (from all sources)
    • PVP:
      • 2 - Purge
      • 4 - Interrupt
      • 7 - Pleasure
      • 8 - Target takes 20% damage (from all sources)
  • Exotic Holster - Waveform
    • Talent - Courant alternatif
      • Generate a stack of 3% skill damage on one of your skills every second, capping at 10 stacks. After 10 seconds on the ceiling, the stacks are transferred to your other skill. The process then repeats itself over and over again.
  • Exotic - Condenser
    • Assault rifle based on the PDR.
    • Awarded for completing 5 Summit Challenges in a single climb
    • Talent - Ability
      • Shooting enemies creates stacks up to a maximum of 40. Each stack grants 1,5% skill damage. After 5 seconds, the stacks decrease 1 per second.
      • For each Utility Core, gain 7,5% weapon damage.

    • Increase damage buff from 25% to 50%
  • 4+ backpack
    • Canceling your skills will reset their cooldowns.

New skill variant

Achilles pulse

  • Target a single enemy with a pulse that identifies weaknesses, highlights them, and deals damage to those areas to take additional head damage. Useful for solo snipers or as a support skill user paint target for your teammates.

  • Talent - Future Perfection
    • Weapons killed grant +1 skill level for 19s. Stackable up to 3 times.
    • The weapon kills at skill level 6 grants overload for 15s.
    • Overload recharge time: 90s

PDR assault rifle: test subject

  • Talent - perfectly synchronized
    • Hitting an enemy deals + 20% skill damage for 5s.
    • Using a skill or damaging an enemy with a skill grants + 20% weapon damage for 5s.
    • Damage increases are doubled while both buffs are active at the same time.

Empress International Chest: César's Guard

  • Talent - Perfectly qualified
    • Skill kills have a 30% chance to reset skill cooldowns.

Empress International backpack: battery

  • Talent - perfectly calculated
    • Kills in cover reduce skill cooldowns by 15%.

New directive

  • Brushes
    • “Killing an enemy fills the Rage Gauge for nearby enemies. Rage wears off over time. A full rage meter makes an enemy "enraged" (granting them excessive healing). Killing a enraged enemy removes all rage from nearby enemies. An empty rage meter returns an enraged enemy to normal.
    • Replaces special ammo directive in mission selection and overall difficulty
    • This directive is also available in the Summit (which increases the total of selectable directives to 10 for the Summit)

Gameplay changes

skills-acquisition">New feature: skills acquisition

  • The Turret Skill Platform can now be picked up after deployment. Pickup works the same as Hive Pickup, (the player presses and holds the skill button while standing next to the skill). Turret cooldown will be reduced, either based on remaining duration or remaining ammo. The less time or ammo left, the longer the cooldown will be.

New functionality: option "Always show mask"

  • The ability to activate / deactivate your mask anywhere will now be available as an option for those who wish to fine-tune the appearance of their agents.

Mod filtering UI improvements

  • Can filter by type (defensive, offensive, utility)
  • Can also filter by specific mod type (critical hit chance, health, skill haste, etc.)

Balance

Exotic

  • Big horn
    • Increased magazine size to 40 (from 30)
  • Big Game Hunter Talent
    • Once in range, enter semi-automatic fire mode, dealing 450% weapon damage with each shot.
    • Headshots grant + 2% head damage. Stackable up to 50 times. Once at full stacks, 10 stacks will disintegrate every 4 seconds until all stacks have been removed. Headshots delay the decomposition of batteries.
    • This change to the stack decay should reward players who are able to continue to get headshots by allowing them to maintain their damage bonus due to their accuracy.

Inventory space

  • Increased inventory space for each character to 150 (from 100)

Loading locations

  • Increased the number of loadouts for inventory and clothing to 16 (from 12)

skills

  • Trap repair
    • Radius polished to 0,75 m (from 0,5)
    • Increase in the amount of basic care by 25%
    • Base cooldown reduced to 40 seconds (was 60 seconds)
  • Reduced Shard Trap PvP damage.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed the description of the Magnetic Disc skill mod to match its effects.
  • Fixed the misalignment of Tech and Demolitionist specialization weapons on the Future Initiative radio carrier backpack.
  • Fixed the alignment of the Firewall Specialization weapon on several backpacks.
  • Fixed a broken animation on the True Sons tank destroying the ammo pack then switching weapons.
  • Fixed the RC Sawblade car not attacking players as intended.
  • Fixed mission difficulty changes not persisting during matchmaking.
  • Fixed instances of players being able to go out of bounds.
  • Fixed Morozova's RPG shot not canceling after exhausting her armor during Phases 2 and 3.
  • Fixed skills of destroyed players not dropping Memento Trophies when wearing the Memento Backpack in a PvP session.
  • Fixed incorrect times for Kenley College in the progress tracker.
  • Fixed overlapping threat detection messages when performing a full blast on a group of enemies in the SHD Exposed global event.
  • Fixed global settings timer not appearing in menu under certain circumstances when disabling / enabling a global event.
  • Fixed the Memento's long-term buff returning to its previous number of stacks after expiring while picking up a trophy.
  • Fixed an issue where exiting and re-entering matchmaking incorrectly increased difficulty.
  • Fixed UI issues appearing when the Cool Skills and Scavenged Skills directives are active.
  • Fixed players being able to deal unintended amounts of damage with the Firewall Specialization weapon in PvP Conflict mode.
  • Fixed a clipping issue that was present when wearing the Black Tactical Shirt.
  • Fixed Unstoppable Force talent activating incorrectly when killing wild animals.
  • Fixed a trophy box becoming unbootable after using a character bonus.
  • Fixed an issue with the Operation Iron Horse raid that could prevent a boss encounter if a disconnected and downed agent reconnects when the rest of the party was next to the pilot.
  • Fixed missing textures for the “Langley Reports” category in the collectible menu.
  • Fixed the Armor Regen stat not working as intended in the shooting range.
  • Fixed Ubisoft Connect challenges showing incorrect values.
  • Fixed Ubisoft Connect challenges not rewarding XP as intended.
  • Fixed Mortars in Operation Iron Horse's final fight not being able to hit Agents during Carpet Bombing.
  • Fixed an issue with the Fragile Armor directive where the player would see their own stacks of broken armor on the UI of other party members instead of their actual stacks.
  • Fixed selected directives not applying in the lobby menu in The Summit.
  • Fixed an issue that caused players to be teleported to the Summit Hall when they started making matches.
  • Fixed an issue where the story mode difficulty was not available to players in The Summit.
  • Fixed an area where NPCs would get stuck in their spawn closets on a specific floor of the Summit.
  • Fixed an issue where players could incorrectly match up for Washington DC missions before completing the Warlords of New York campaign.
  • Fixed the "Protect the Hostages" objective not updating after eliminating all enemy NPCs, blocking the objective from completing.
  • Fixed high difficulty missions at level 30 not dropping gear above 504 gear points.
  • Fixed Empress International's targeted loot selection not working in The Summit.
  • Fixed the quality of open world loot rewards on Heroic Difficulty not scaling properly to difficulty.
  • Fixed players being able to bypass Legendary level enemies on Legendary difficulty in The Summit.
