One of the strengths of Google Home is obviously the complete integration with all the devices of the same company from Mountain View. You will surely know that you can request the smart speaker for play multimedia content on TV, to which, however, a Chromecast must necessarily be connected. At home, however, there are several rooms, perhaps more than a smart speaker and more than a Chromecast. So how do you automatically associate a Google Home with your TV? Let's see it right away in this article.
How to connect a TV to a Google Home
Obviously, before starting, we would like to clarify that, while not selecting a TV as default, it will be possible to ask a Google Home to play content in a specific room and therefore to a specific TV. To do this, it will be enough to say: "Ok Google, play * content name * in * Chromecast name *".
By making the direct connection between the two devices, it will be enough to say: "Ok Google, play * content name * on TV". The assistant will automatically understand where to send the content, thanks to the selected setting. If, on the other hand, you want to play the content on a TV other than the one selected as the default, you will need to specify the Chromecast name again during the request.
- Open the app "Google Home" su smartphone or tablet
- On the main screen, click on the Google Home icon to connect to the TV
- Continue with the settings icon at the top right
- Go down and click on "Default TV"
- Select the desired Chromecast from the list that appears
To reset everything, all you need to do is click on "Reset" lower left.
