Razer ™, the world's leading lifestyle brand for gamers (Hong Kong Stock Code: 1337), today presents the Kanagawa Wave clothing collection, a limited edition clothing range made from materials created from plastics salvaged and recycled from the sea. Featuring a stylized design of the famous Great Wave artwork off Kanagawa, this clothing range is designed to highlight the problem of sea plastic debris pollution, as well as to fund efforts to reduce these plastics in the oceans and protect their inhabitants.
Fans will have to hurry
This collection will go on sale April 7 at 19 p.m. PDT (00 a.m. CEST on April 4), in a limited edition, so fans looking to get some of these exclusive Kanagawa Wave pieces should hurry up and visit razer.com/gear -and -clothing / kanagawa-wave for release notifications. With the previous experience of Razer's “A GAMING APE” clothing line selling out in minutes, fans are encouraged to register early to avoid missing out on these products.
Each piece in the clothing line, which includes hoodie, t-shirt, tank top, shorts and cap, is made from high quality fabric made from ocean-collected and 100% recycled plastic. The fabric is produced as part of a larger program to remove marine plastic from the seas and recycle it into useful products, which now include Razer's stylish Ola Kanagawa clothing line.
Approximately 11 million tons of plastic are recovered from the oceans each year, a material that seriously endangers marine life and enters the food chain. To help reduce this problem, proceeds from the sale of Kanagawa's Ola clothing line will go to recovering marine plastics in affected coastal areas and marine life around the world. For every item sold in this collection, Razer will fund the recovery of 1 kilo of marine plastic.
#GoGreenWithRazer helps save the planet
Kanagawa's Razer Wave clothing line is the second of Razer's environmental initiatives, a continuation of the recently announced #GoGreenWithRazer initiative with the highly successful collaboration with the Conservation Program and Razer's mascot, Sneki Snek, who has the figure of 100.000 trees have been surpassed, and of which one million trees are expected to be saved.
Through these and upcoming initiatives, Razer wants to engage and unite the community to help preserve nature and ensure the world is a place where we can all continue playing.
