Pre-registration has just started for Pokémon Masters, a game developed by DeNA Co., Ltd. in partnership with The Pokémon Company. You can pre-register both on Google Play and on the App Store. The game is due to launch this summer and all players who pre-register will be notified once the game is launched.
As for the game itself, it is a strategy and combat game in which players form teams of pairs (each two consists of trainer and their Pokémon). Then, they participate in real-time 3v3 battles against AI opponents. Since the game will feature many different Trainers and Pokémon, there are many team combinations to experience. The game takes place in an entirely new location: Pasio Island, a place of competition for trainers and their partners, Pokémon from different Pokémon regions.
The Pokémon Masters already have their own Youtube channel and have some cool trailers for you to check out. These contain important gameplay elements, including:
- an overview of the game's combat system, as well as the progress preview
- history and the Pokémon Masters League (PML), tournament organized on the island of Pasio.
- information on Pokémon evolution and first look at some special powers obtained through evolution
- explanation of cooperative play and switching between synchronized pairs during a fight
- how to create a good team composition and understand the synergies and strengths of different even synchronizations
Additionally, a preview version of Pokémon Masters is set to launch today (July 24, 2019) in Singapore and is expected to arrive in Canada soon. This preview version will allow players to try out certain features of the game before it becomes officially available worldwide. It is important to note that progress made by players during this period will transfer once the game is released worldwide.
