The “Masuda Method” is an umbrella term for breeding Pokémon and increasing your chances of getting a Shiny Egg. It's named after Game Freak director Junichi Masuda, and has been a constant presence since the fourth generation of the Pokemon series.
The "method" itself will not be our primary focus here. It's extremely simple: by breeding Pokémon from two different countries, you have a much better chance of getting a Shiny. There is a variation of this method that makes Pokemon breeding and brilliant farming a lot easier, so let's talk about it.

The “Masuda Method” has been a feature included in the main Pokémon series ever since. By breeding Pokémon from two different countries, you increase your chances of getting a Shiny Egg. You can get Pokémon from other countries through online transactions.
To make this method much, much easier, you will want to get a ditto. The same is genderless and can happen with any Pokémon in the game. The tricky part is finding a ditto from another country - your best bet is a Same Japanese.
Ditto is your best friend when it comes to breeding. You only need one species - Ditto can breed with anyone. Therefore, if you use an Alien Metamorph, you will be able to breed endless eggs.
There are tons of resources online that you can use to get a Japanese ditto. They can be from any country. There are two ways you can determine if your Pokémon is alien; the name is in another language (duh!) or look on the summary page. It will tell you which country your Pokémon is from if it is in English.
How to get a Japanese ditto:
There are resources online to help you! Before trading for a Japanese Ditto, be sure to capture an English Ditto in Outrage Lake - Japanese players are looking for foreign dittos as well! They will be happy to exchange to be able to use the Masuda method.
