Octopath Traveler In this new guide we'll see where to find the legendary monster Cait, an enemy as strange as interesting equipped with very few HP but able to give mountains of experience and make less heavy the time spent leveling!

Octopath Traveler COMPLETE GUIDE: THE REWARDS OF THE CAIT AND THE PLACES TO FIND THEM

As we mentioned Cait is a rare enemy of the game, with very few life points but a defense so high that sometimes even your most powerful attack can inflict only 1 point of damage. Caits provide large amounts of money and experience that can take you up several levels in a very short time, especially in the early stages of the game. Three different types of Caits have been discovered at the moment. However, each of them will try to escape from the fight with the Escape ability as soon as possible. Caits usually only stay in battle for a couple of turns so if you want to eliminate them you'd better dominate them or put them to sleep right away. Another option is to use a stone (L) that almost always knocks them out instantly. But let's see in detail the statistics of this enemy as useful as elusive:

Cait

Looking like an orange tiger cat with lots of bags of treasure.

Reward: 3000 leaves (money), 1000 experience points.
Where to find it: In the initial areas of the map, in the areas that include the first circle of places and that separate the various characters (Chap. 1).

Cultured Cait

Similar to normal Cait but with a dark coat and a top hat. He usually appears transformed into another enemy and only reveals himself during battle.

Reward: 15000 leaves (money), 1500 experience points.
Where to find him: In the secondary areas of the map, in the areas that include the second circle of places and that separate the adventures of the characters (Chap. 2).

Chubby Cait

A giant orange cat, the best Cait to defeat but also the rarest one to meet.

Reward: 55000 leaves (money), 2000 experience points.
Where to find him: He can be summoned by a Primrose ability. Or in the tertiary areas of the map, in areas that include the third circle of places and that separate character adventures (Chapter 3). Someone also found it in the deeper levels of dungeons on Lv. 25 or higher.

It is possible that there is also a fourth type of Cait, I'm looking for it while it was a nice sushi roll, if it really exists you will surely find it in this guide!

Thanks to H'aanit's hunting skills, you can also capture the Cait and use it in battle. Of course, a good level, at least 20, is required so you can easily capture it and add it to your creatures. The captured base Cait will allow you to use the Cait's Fortune ability. Once you summon the Cait in battle, using maximum Power, it will weaken the enemy's speed and shield for 9 turns and increase all your team stats by 6.
