It's not a Zelda game without dealing with dungeons, and there are a lot of them in Link's Awakening. These dungeons will test your problem-solving skills and you will have to use the array of items that Link acquires during his journey. However, how many of them will you cross? Here's how many dungeons you can expect to play on your journey through Link's Awakening.
How many dungeons are there in Link's Awakening?
Before you jump into the game, you can expect to play it for around 15-20 hours, depending on how much time you spend playing the crane and focusing on those tasks. Given how much time you'll be spending in the game, here's how many dungeons you'll encounter:
- Tail cave
- Bottle cave
- Key Cavern
- Angler's Tunnel
- Maw Fishfish
- Shrine face
- Eagle Tower
- Turtle Rock
- Wind Fish Egg
These are the main dungeons that players will encounter as they move through the game. There are, however, additional locations. There are three mini-dungeons and a bonus dungeon:
- Moblin Cave
- Château Kanalet
- Ancient ruins
- Bonus Dungeon: Color Dungeon
Some players may miss the Color Dungeon because there is a special way to access it. We have this information documented here, for those curious on how to get there.
In total, there are nine main dungeons that players will go through. There are three mini-dungeons that they will encounter on their travels. And there's a bonus dungeon, the Color Dungeon, for any player interested in checking it out. Link's Awakening is a huge game with a lot to do, and you don't want to rush through all the tasks. Enjoy the trip while you are in the middle.
