Fishing Frenzy is a new limited-time mode in Fortnite. In this mode, there is no floor loot or loot chests. Instead, you have to fish all of your loot, adding moments of tension to the start of the turn.
How to play Fishing Frenzy
To play Fishing Frenzy, log into the game, then click the "Change" button under the Play button on the main screen. Select Fishing Frenzy at the bottom of the list, then press play to load in a lobby.
The mode takes place in a small area around the Coral Castle, and there are only 20 players. It also appears that fishing loot spawns are significantly increased in this mode. You will appear in the Battle Bus and have a fishing rod, your harvesting tool, and a pistol with ammo to start.
After that, you need to go to a fishing spot and get yourself some better loot. The storm will collapse a bit faster than in normal games, and both building and harvesting are enabled in this LTM. There are also motorboats on the map, allowing you to quickly move around the Coral Castle if you need to.
The only loot you'll find that doesn't come from a fishing spot will be loot it from dead players, so be sure to be extra careful with your opponents dropping when you take them out.
Much like a standard match, the last player standing will win, so make sure you get some solid loot and then start hunting down other players and get rid of the competition.
