As Galactus draws closer to the island of Fortnite, he has started sending forward forces. Gorgers are large machines armed with powerful blasting lasers, and these spawn smaller Gatherers. While Gatherers are certainly weaker than Gorgers, they can face the threat in a group.
Various challenges during week 4 and week 5 will task you with destroying Gorgers and Gatherers, so it will be helpful to know where you can find them. Only one Gorger will appear during each match, and all potential spawn locations are shown on the map below.
To find the Gorgers and Gatherers, it's a good idea to hop into a Choppa as soon as you can. The Gorger will appear shortly after the storm forms in a match, and if you are in flight it becomes very easy to check out the sights from a distance. The Gorger will shoot a bright beam of red light across the sky, making them easy to find, if you know where to look.
Gorgers are difficult to take down, you mostly have to shoot them down in areas that glow yellow. Make sure to avoid their powerful charge attack, as it will do you a lot of damage and has a small area of effect, so it lands near you, you will still take damage.
Gatherers are easy to manage and will drop to the ground after you kill them, exploding shortly after. If you grab one before it explodes, you can use it as a weapon and unleash your own powerful charged attacks.
