Introducing Call of Duty League Play.
In League game, you meet again players of the same Competence division, in Call of Duty League modes and maps, with the option to choose the official Call of Duty League preset classes or of course one of your own custom loadouts. 30 different ranks are waiting for you to climb them, by simply joining the events of League Play, and reaching the ultimate height, the Master Division.
The League Play menu can be found on the Mode selection screen between Multiplayer and zombies modes. All you need to do is click on this tab, choose your gear and class, and play 5 trial matches (placement matches) during the event. Then a ranking and skill division will be recorded based on your performance, starting your League Play adventure.
League Play events take place twice a week, with weekday events Monday through Friday and weekend events Friday through Monday. The goal of each event is to climb as high as possible on the division ladder. The higher your position in the ladder is at the end of the event, the more progress you will be towards your next Ranking Promotion.
Divisions and skill scales
Here's how League Play's workforce breaks down across the five divisions by skill:
- Master = Top 2%
- Elite = Top 15%
- Expert = Top 30%
- Advanced = Top 50%
- Competitor = 50% of players
Wins will award scale points which increase your position on the scale. Losses will decrease your scale points and may cause your position on the scale to drop. Winning consecutive matches will earn you a win streak bonus and you can earn a daily bonus by playing every day.
There is a ton of additional information on the event, so be sure to take a look at the official event website, and Treyarch's in-depth blog. Good luck to everyone and make sure to raise the leaderboards as high as possible!
