The album of images and videos "Hidden" has been present on iPhone, iPad and Mac since the first versions of the application "Photo Gallery" iCloud. However, while it is a folder that many users would really like to keep hidden, Apple has never done anything to make it invisible. In fact, before iOS 14, this was always clear in the tab dedicated to all the albums of the aforementioned application. Fortunately, however, the fourteenth version of the Cupertino company's mobile software has finally solved the problem.
Hide the "Hidden" album on iPhone and iPad
Just as previously mentioned, to complete the procedure that we will see below, you will need to have iOS 14 (or later) on the iPhone or iPad being used.
Subsequently, you can proceed with hiding the album of photos (or videos) to be kept private.
- Open the app "Settings" your iPhone or iPad
- click "Photo Gallery"
- Go down and deactivate the toggle to the right of "Hidden Albums"
Once this is done, all the photos that will be included in the aforementioned album will continue to be present on the device, but will be invisible to all the "curious".
Hide the "Hidden" album on Mac
On Mac, on the other hand, the same function is already available with macOS Catalina, even if our advice is to keep your desktop device updated.
- Open the app "Photo Gallery" your Mac
- click "View" at the top left of the menu bar
- Select the item "Hide Hidden Albums"
Obviously the same procedure can be performed to show the same album again.
