Believe it or not, thanks to the Madden community, it's entirely possible to have the most Madden 20 roster information, well into the upcoming 2020-2021 NFL season. It's a great way to get acquainted with the new class of newbie players, as well as those recently traded, ahead of Madden 21 releases. Before you put your hopes too high, it must be said that this will require an online connection, can only be used in Exhibition and Franchise modes, and can be done on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
If these setbacks don't deter you, boot up your copy of Madden 20 and be ready to play after these few easy steps:
- The first step: In the main menu, click on the option "customize", that is to say an icon in the form of a gear, at the bottom right.
- Second step: Scroll down to “share and manage files”. From there, navigate to "Download Community Files".
- Third step: Press Triangle or Y, depending on your console, then click “Find ID Online”.
- Step four: This is where PS4 and Xbox One owners will take different paths.
- For PS4 users, search for ID: MFMatix. From there, download the list titled "Madden 21".
- For Xbox One users, find the ID: xAPATHYx13 and download the listing named "Updated20".
- Step five: Go back to the "Share and manage files" menu and click "Upload files".
- Step six: Find the list file you downloaded and upload it. You should be good to go from there.
Madden 20 has experienced a few bugs online since its release. So if the respective list doesn't download the first time, try it again and it should finally work. On top of that, you'll want to load these lists every time you start a new exhibition game or franchise. The players in each of these are user-created, so don't be shocked if they don't have fully accurate representations of their physical appearance. However, these are some of the most popular and well-made created rosters in the game, and will tame your enthusiasm for Madden 21 long enough.
