Delete a WordPress blog on WordPress.com
Do you want to know how to delete a WordPress blog made on WordPress.com and make the latter unreachable by visitors? No problem, it's very easy.
To delete your blog on WordPress.com, connected to the main page of the service, click on the button Log in at the top right and log in to your account. If you signed up using your Google account, click the button Continue on Google, otherwise enter your login details in the fields Email address or username e Password e pulsing sul pulsating Log in.
Adesso, click on the button My Website at the top left, choose the option Settings present in the left sidebar and, in the new open page, make sure the tab is selected Generali. If before deleting your blog you want to save its contents, locate the section Site tools, click on the item Export e pulsing sul pulsating Export everything to export all the contents of the site.

You must know that the cancellation is immediate: in case of second thoughts, however, you can request to restore your site by replying to the email received at your email address (the one that confirms the cancellation) within 30 days from the request to delete the blog.
If you are not completely satisfied with deleting your blog on WordPress.com, you can choose to leave it inactive and make it private. If so, click on the entry Settings, select the option Generali, locate the section Privacy, put the check mark next to the item Private e pulsing sul pulsating Save settings. Alternatively, connected to the Altervista website, click on the item Login at the top right, enter your details in the fields Username e Password e pulsing sul pulsating Log in.
Now, first, if you want to save your blog content, click on the entry Instruments and choose the option Export. On the new page that opens, put the check mark next to the item All contents to download articles, pages and multimedia content of your website, otherwise put the check mark next to one of the options between Pages, Articles e Media e pulsing sul pulsating Download the export file to download the contents in XML format.
Now, click on the entry users present in the sidebar on the left and choose the option Altervista data. Then scroll down the page until you find the section Delete account e pulsing sul pulsating Request cancellation.
On the new page opened, enter the data associated with your Altervista account in the fields Username, Email address e Password and specify the reason for the cancellation of your blog via the drop-down menu Reason selecting one of the available options (I didn't want a blog but a simple hosting, I don't use it anymore e Other).
Once you have entered all the required data, press the button Delete to proceed with the cancellation of your blog. Then access your e-mail box, locate the email sent by Altervista and confirm your intention by clicking on the link contained within it. It will be useful to know that the deletion of your blog will take place within 24 hours if it was created in the 24 hours prior to the request for deletion, otherwise you will have to wait up to 7 days.
In case of immediate second thoughts, you can request to cancel the cancellation procedure of your blog: open the email you received from Altervista following your cancellation request, locate the option If you change your mind after confirming the deletion, please follow this link to cancel the process and click on the relevant link.
Delete a WordPress blog on Aruba
Be your intention è delete a WordPress blog on Aruba keeping your domain active, all you have to do is access via FTP to the files that make up your website and delete the main folder of the latter.
First, then, connected to your blog, log in to the WordPress administration panel and click on the items Instruments ed Export to export your website content. Then choose whether to download all content by selecting the option All contents or whether to just save Articles, Pages o Media, placing the check mark next to the option of your interest and pressing the button Download the export file.
Now you can proceed with the deletion of your blog. At this point, your blog and all its contents will be permanently deleted, but the domain and your web space will remain available for a new installation, for example to install Joomla or another CMS.
If, on the other hand, your intention is to delete both your blog and the domain associated with it, and the latter has a . It, connected to the Aruba website, click on the item .It domain cancellation form to download the domain cancellation form, fill it in with your personal data (writing them in block capitals), specify the domain you want to cancel also indicating the Authinfo code and affix yours signature in the appropriate field.
You can find the Authinfo code in the email Aruba sent you when you purchased your web space. Alternatively, connected to the Aruba main page, click on the item Customer area at the top right, select the option Customer area from the menu that appears and, in the new open page, enter your access data in the fields Login e Password. Now, press the button Control Panel related to your domain, click on the entry Domain utility in the sidebar on the left and presses the button Request related to the item Authorization code to receive the Authinfo code to your email address.
After completing the cancellation and cancellation form for your blog, you must send it to Aruba along with a copy of your identity document. If you have a certified e-mail address, you can send the documentation to the address [email protected], otherwise you can send it by registered mail with return receipt to the address Aruba SpA, Location Palazzetto n. 4 - 52011 Bibbiena (AR).
