One of the applications that have been present on the iPhone for many years and desired by many Android users is definitely "Wallet". The latter in fact allows anyone to include in a single service all boarding passes, coupons, loyalty cards, payment cards, event tickets and much more. For this reason, the Mountain View company is trying to remedy this by offering the same service through Google Pay.
Ryanair and other boarding passes arrive on Google Pay
If the "loyalty card" issue was substantially simple to solve, the same could not be said of the boarding passes, which they are more dependent on individual airlines. The problem therefore turns out to be very similar to that relating to payment cards, since Google makes its APIs available, but it is then the third-party developers who have to apply them within their own applications.
Fortunately, even in the city there are those who have decided to do it and we refer in particular to: Ryanair, Lufthansa, Air France, EasyJet and KLM. This means that all boarding passes from the aforementioned companies can be imported to Google Pay for quick and offline access. But how do you do it?
Unfortunately, the steps to take to import a boarding pass on Google Pay depend on the developer of the ticket "generating" app, but it is not absolutely difficult to recognize and apply. In fact, once you have checked in, on the same screen as the QR code relating to the ticket to be saved, a black button will appear with the words: “GPay, Save to phone” (or “GPay, Save to Phone”). By clicking on it, the ticket will be generated and can be imported simply by selecting the blue button "Save" positioned at the bottom.
All boarding passes will then be inserted into the tab “Pass” Google Pay app, along with all coupons and loyalty cards. In case you decide to activate the option also, the same ticket will automatically appear on the lock screen when it is useful.
