It's time to have some fun Rocket Arena - and yes, that pun was meant. EA's 3v3 shooter is the latest game to make its mark in the online multiplayer market, and the key to its success will depend on its gameplay mechanics and content.
Part of the content will be the number of playing cards Rocket Arena game modes are enabled. Things could get stale quickly if there are only two or three available, so how many are there? Let's find out together, rocketeers.
All maps available at launch in Rocket Arena
Image via EA10 cards are available at launch. Each is located in the crater, Rocket Arena's home world, and they're made up of different locations that will give you the edge in battle if you know how to use them.
EA - along with developer Final Strike Games - will be adding more maps on a regular basis. For now, however, the 10 listed below are available.
Apogee Acres
The hometown of Rocket Arena hero Jayto. Apogee Acres is full of defensible windows that you can open and close using your rockets. Learning to navigate this arena using these windows will be the key to help you stand out from Rocket Arena Different game types.
Frostwind Grove
Frostwind Grove is a colony built around a giant tree. You can use the central structure to avoid incoming fire and surprise your opponents with an unexpected attack. Secret Spire Passages will also be essential, as you can use them to outsmart your enemies and win matches in Rocketball and Mega Rocket.
Le zéphyr d'or
A level of airship that is sure to wreak havoc when it comes to rockets. The ship is surrounded by smaller ships that rockets can jump between, and they provide convenient places to recover from the glut of action. Just be careful to watch your step here as one wrong move can lead to self-imposed death.
Hypersonic heights
Image via EAA semi-enclosed place with a giant statue in its center. Items are available near its center to give you the advantage in combat and keep an eye out for UFOs that occasionally fly overhead. They will provide you with cover and give you the opportunity to fight your way towards opponents to get them out of the ring.
Ice dungeon
A frozen card - a datum with a name like this - that has a lot of jump pads available. Make sure to use these pads to your advantage. You can knock your enemies down from top to bottom, return to safety if you run out of health, or cycle through the map in two quick swipes.
Megadon Junction
A desert-inspired map, Megadon Junction has an express train running through the heart of this level. Stay clear or you will be sent flying by this locomotive and its cargo. He'll provide you with cover if you need to regain your senses as well, so listen carefully to his horn and be prepared to dodge if you need some time to recover.
Shimmering depths
Image via EAAn underwater map might seem odd for a rocket-powered game, but Rocket Arena has one. Keep your eyes peeled for geysers that give you vertical lift, or Crystal Subs that let you jump them. Either way, getting a bit of air will give you a bird's eye view of the procedures to get the drop on the opposition.
Crater star
Located in the Crystal Reef, the Crater Star is recognizable by the giant crystal at its heart. This map is made up of rocky outcrops pierced with holes. Use these places of refuge to dodge incoming rockets before you fire at your own arsenal.
Stompy Refuge
There are plenty of places to hide among the giant Megadon skeleton and the Stompy Refuge dig site. With so many areas to dodge enemy fire, you'll have a hard time defeating other players in Knockout mode. This is mostly used for game modes like Treasure Hunt.
Temples of Jaaqua
This jungle-themed map is full of dangers. Not only will you have to face enemy rockets, but you will also have to avoid traps and other dangers hidden in the foliage. A perfect card for Knockout mode, however, if you can blast your opponents into one of these secret traps.
