Since the game's launch, aside from a few changes here and there, body shields have been the only major thing that hasn't changed much. Throw that out the window because this season the meta is getting a complete overhaul.
Here's how the all-new bulletproof vest system works in Season 6: Boosted.
All base armor is Evo armor
With the successful addition of the Evo Armor and all Evo Armor event modes, Evo has officially become the norm.
White armor will be level 1 Evo armor, blue armor will be pre-leveled level 2 Evo armor, and purple armor will be pre-leveled level 3 Evo armor. You can't find red armor naturally, but every base armor can be leveled into red armor.
The Golden Shield remains its own legendary level item and is not part of the evolution chain.
No shield, no problem
All players will spawn with a level 0 Evo Shield, which only requires 50 damage to level up. This will certainly make Hot Drops and Strike Battles early in the game a bit more interesting, and maybe it will make him hunting down a body shield no longer the main priority after landing in the arena. .
In numbers
All armor is nerfed by 25 hit points, which means there is no longer a 225 hit point body shield and the golden shield has a 100 hit point nerf against 75.
These changes are designed to encourage combat, speed up combat, and encourage the new crafting mechanic, as you can upgrade your body shield through crafting as well.
Since everyone will be a little more vulnerable, be sure to take the cover and maximize the damage. This will change a lot of strategy and may result in some adjustments, but we can't wait to see how the new mechanic plays out.
