The start of Season 3 in Fortnite flooding the island, turning it into a destination quite right on the water. It happened just in time for summer, so Epic is bringing us the Summer Splash. The event will last until the end of Season 3, with the return of limited-time modes you'll know and love, and introducing new ones.
Fog of war, close encounters, safes and captures! The LTMs will all return and be upgraded for the Summer Splash. According to Epic, new LTMs will start in a future update and include new versions of Operation: Knockout, a reel 'em in royale and elimination-powered upgrade game, which sounds dangerously fun.
Lots of skins
The Item Shop will also receive all kinds of new skins and items to celebrate the event. There are some really fun skins in this bundle, including a really nice new fan design that has made its way into the game.
How to play LTMs
To play the limited-time modes in Fortnite, all you need to do is go to the Play tab and then click on Edit. On the screen where you normally choose from Solos, Duos, Squads, etc., you should see Limited Time Mode at the bottom. Click the icon, then click Accept. When you return to your lobby, just tap the big play button at the bottom right of the screen to load into the game.
