To begin the A Moment in Time quest, you must have the Year 3 Season Pass to access Season of Dawn content. It's not a free update unfortunately - that's probably why this thing is so ridiculously easy to earn. I hate to insist on it, but this gun is so easy to get, there's no reason to miss it. I'll explain how to grab it below.
How To Get The Devil's Ruin Handgun | Exotic Quest Guide
To start the quest "A moment in time", go to the Sundial - a new Season of Dawn activity - and complete a race. You can complete a Normal or a Heroic, it doesn't matter. Completing a race will unlock the Devil's Ruin quest item and you can start completing the stages. Take the exotic quest item out of the rewards pool and you'll be on your way.
- Exotic quest "A Moment in Time"
- Talk to Saint-14 in the tower.
- Go to Twilight Gap (EDZ) and collect Shards.
- Collect 10 Robot Fragments.
- And that's all!
The Twilight Gap map is accessible from a new quest marker in the EDZ. The map is completely empty - no enemies, just luminous robot bodies that you can collect. Find all 10 and you will complete the quest.
Some robot shards are hard to find, so here's a quest text guide on where to look.
- Robot Fragments Locations:
- Near the old steps where you spawn, sitting by a rock covered in snow.
- To the right of “4” of the Hangar 4 door.
- Inside Hangar 3, look into one of the open open containers.
- On the long platform jutting out of the structure near the spawn.
- Enter the underground tunnel - the gray tunnels. You can find an entrance near the railgun.
- On the metal walkway, look behind two stacked crates.
- From the same metal walkway, go to the structure and go down the steps to find this robot part.
- Under the large railgun prop facing the outside of the map.
- In the lower part of the interior, look for a room bathed in orange light. The robot is stalled at the lower level.
- Next to a crate in the inner room in the middle of the map.
And that's all you need to know. No enemies to fight, just a game of hide and seek to complete. Will this quest lead to something more? I have no idea, but at least the Exotic pistol is pretty cool.
