How to Break Free from Brick in Cyberpunk 2077
The brick is located inside a locked room with a keypad outside. To get it out, you need to find the keypad code. Fortunately, the code is hidden nearby.
In the room to the right of Brick's containment cell, there's a laptop you can interact with. Open the Messages folder and select the bottom message titled "Only you know." This post provides (very clear) information as to why Brick is stuck in the cage, but more importantly, it contains the keypad code. The keypad code to release Brick is 9691.
If you are more of a hacker, you can hack the door controls if you have enough RAM to open the door and free Brick. To do this, activate your scanner and look at the door terminal on the left. Select the remote deactivation hack and the door will open. This hack requires 2 Cyberdeck RAM slots, so if you don't have enough, you will just have to enter the code normally.
Once you open the door, you will find that Brick is not yet fully released from his predicament. There is a mine with a laser pointed directly at his chest and it will explode if he stray too far from his current position. There are two ways to manage this mine. The first is to look directly at the mine and deactivate it yourself. However, it does take a few attribute points in Techincal Ability, so not everyone will be able to do it.
If you can't deactivate the mine yourself, you can find the detonator in the same room as the laptop with the code on it. It is on a table immediately to your left as you enter. Take the detonator and select Disarm Load to deactivate the mine. You can also detonate the mine by selecting Disable Charge, but you cannot release Brick if you detonate it. Once the mine is deactivated and the Brick is free, you can tell him that he owes you one and he will promise to help you in the future, possibly respawning later in the game.
