* Upcoming spoilers for those who haven't completed campaign mode *
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare is a huge hit. Call of Duty 2019's 4 reboot looks, it seems, just hitting the right chord with gamers and will undoubtedly be one of the biggest titles of the year. Much of this will be due to the multiplayer mode that fans of the FPS genre have been clamoring for like a thirsty dog since the game was discontinued. But there is one other element to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare that you might have forgotten about yours. desire to escalate your murderous streak, and this is his campaign mode.
Sometimes seen as a glorified tutorial, the Call of Duty series has always had a gripping, white story, and this version is no different. The onus is on you to keep a batch of dangerous chemicals from falling into the wrong hands, and it all ends in an epic showdown in a chemicals factory. When the dust settles and everyone is dead, we turn black.
Except we don't, not, because there are a few post-credit scenes coming up and, boy, are they sweet. Here's what you learn when trying to explain the ending of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare and not tripping over my feet too much.
Task Force 141
We saw Kate Laswell sharing a cup of tea with Captain John Price, and we learn that he is planning to create an unofficial task force called Task Force 141. From there he pulls out a file on each member he chooses. recruit, and we meet old favorites. John “Soap” MacTavish is one of the first on the list, as is Simon “Ghost” Riley. They are both beloved characters from the Modern Warfare franchise and looking for an upcoming sequel.
You played as Kyle "Gaz" Garrick
The first thing you learn about Task Force 141 is that one of the main characters you played was Kyle "Gaz" Garrick. For fans of the series, you'll know he met an untimely end at the hands of Zhakaev. So for Infinity Ward to reboot it in such a meaningful way, it can only mean that they have great things in store for Kyle “Gas” Garrick when the inevitable Call of Duty Modern War 2 sees the light of day.
General Shepherd will return
During their chat, Kate Laswell casually mentions everyone's favorite hole, General Shepherd. He seems to be her go-to when it comes to all things Al-Quatala and the mere whisper of his name is more than enough to get everyone to get their heads around the idea of teaming up or deleting General Shepherd's next installments.
Like Khaled Al-Asad
Khaled Al-Asad set off a nuclear bomb and swept the hell out of his own country, instantly making him one of the most hated protagonists in video game history. So when a photo of him is posted on a smartphone and the discussion turns to Khaled Al-Asad, then you can bet that your house appears to him at stake in the events followed thereafter.
Sgt. Kamarov and Nikolai will also be present
Nikolai is still breathing and Sgt. Kamarov shows up to take an oath of allegiance to the good old CIA, which means that many of the show's favorite characters are set to make a triumphant or deadly comeback. While how remains to be seen as face to face here, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare is as fresh as a daisy, so don't expect any information to fall on it for at least a year. That said, if this game is as successful as it is now, then Infinity Ward will be rushing for a cash streak. Hopefully not; a job is the last thing anyone wants.
