Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is back, and several fans are jumping into the game to check out what Infinity Ward has for them this year. Overall, the smooth reboot of the Modern Warfare franchise has mostly proven successful. For players who want to get used to the game before switching to multiplayer, they rely on the help of Campaign or Spec Ops mode to help them out. But right now, it's common for PC users to find cutscenes spinning to stutter, spoiling the overall gaming experience. Here's what we know about it.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - What Can You Do About Stuttering Cinematic Scenes On PC?
If you're on a console, chances are you haven't experienced this issue - no need to worry. Now, if you play the title on a PC, that's another matter. For those who use this rig, there may be a handful of cutscenes that stutter for you, preventing the character's dialogue from aligning with what's going on in the discussion. You might think that the game's great graphics reduce it, but luckily the issue is different.
According to Infinity Ward, this is a known issue, and some background disk usage is the cause. There is absolutely no way the players can fix the problem on their own. Unfortunately, it all depends on the developers. They need to come in, find the problem, fix it, and then fix it to make sure their player base doesn't have to deal with it when they play. It would also make the epic and emotional cutscenes in the game much more meaningful.
Infinity Ward is on the case, however. They posted about the known issue in this reddit thread and assured their fans that they are working on it. They announced that they became aware of the problem on October 25. So we can expect a fix to emerge early next week. When that passes, that should fix the problem. Or make something else work. This is how development work is, unfortunately.
Either way, we hope you enjoy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare now. Here's what we thought of it during our review, and we took full advantage of the many aspects of the game.
