Welcome to the endings guide to Beyond : Two Souls! For those who have not yet done so I strongly recommend you to finish the game before reading this guide because, even if I tried to spoil the plot of the title as little as possible, a few flasks could spoil several of the surprises that the developers have prepared for you so I repeat ATTENTION SPOILER!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Just like in Heavy Rain to get some endings you will need to start the game again from a given chapter and continue to the end. In fact, changing the events of a chapter, finish it and then jump at the end of the game will not change the final outcome of the adventure because in all the chapters after the modified one will continue to prevail the choices made during the first game made at Beyond . Unlike Heavy Rain however, getting all the endings will be much easier and you can get all 24 in a very short time.
WARNING: This is the only exact guide you will find on the net! There are dozens of them related by numerous videos but none is complete or right or explains you how to get the endings. Only we at , VideoGamesTricks.com propose the best, if you don't believe us you just read it with your own eyes!
Beyond Two Souls | How to easily unlock all 24 Endings
The 24 endings of the game basically depend on the following conditions, i.e. the choice to live or die that Jodie can make during the final chapter "THE BLACK SUN" and the characters that will be alive at the time of the choice. The endings consist of small cut-scenes that add up at the end of the game depending on the decisions made. Following the illustrated procedures you will get all the 24 necessary cut-scenes that will be used to unlock the "All Endings" trophy.
PLEASE NOTE: Remember that you don't need to start the game every time, but you just need to resume the adventure from the "WITHOUT" chapter with the save function active. We'll show you the fastest way to get all the endings in 5 STEPS but it's up to you to choose how to deal with the narrative plot:
STEP 1
-You have to finish the adventure by saving all the characters that can be saved: Norah, Cole, Ryan, Paul, Jimmy and Walter and in the chapter "THE BLACK SUN" you have to choose to go OTHER. Together with several final cut-scenes you will also unlock the "All Saved" trophy. Here's how to save the characters in question from the chapter "WITHOUT SCREAM" to "THE BLACK SUN":
-Jimmy and Walter- At the end of chapter "WITHOUT WAY", while the homeless house burns down, use Aiden to find and save all 4 homeless people.
-Paul- At the end of the chapter "NAVAJO", after Paul has been wounded, enter the house and before talking to Shimasani treat Paul with Aiden.
-Norah- In the only chapter where you'll meet her, leave her in a coma and get out of the room.
-Cole- In the chapter "THE BLACK SUN", as soon as Cole is wounded and falls to the ground go to him and take him to shelter. Finally, use Aiden to heal him.
-Ryan- At the end of the chapter "THE BLACK SUN", during the dialogue with Nathan, avoid irritating him and always respond in a sentimental way.
PHASE 2
-Once you return to the main menu, replay the chapter "THE BLACK SUN" just like you did in STEP 1 but you let Jodie die in the Capacitor or just before you get to turn off the machine. You'll just have to miss all the quick time events that you'll have to face when the souls try to stop you (where the general or Jodie's parents appear). Also in this case you will unlock other cut-scenes that will add to those already obtained.
STEP 3
-Get back to the main menu and replay the chapter "THE BLACK SUN" just as you did in PHASE 1 but this time you let Cole die choosing not to go towards him when he falls wounded but to continue towards Ryan. In the end this time choose LIFE. In this way you will unlock more cut-scenes and a chapter "EPILOGUE" in which you can change your choice 4 times. You only need to replay this new chapter to unlock many more cut-scenes then:
NOTE: You will also have to finish the game with Cole alive and Jodie choosing life, I suggest you to tie this little choice to when you play the last chapters as described below in "Choose Ryan".
( You can make the following choices in any order ).
-Choose JAY and return to the main menu reload the Epilogue. Paul is alive.
-Choose ZOEY and go back to the main menu and reload the Epilogue. Walter and Jimmy are alive.
-Choose to stay ONLY and return to the main menu reload the Epilogue.
-Choose RYAN (this ending changes if Ryan loses his eye during the penultimate chapter, the chapter where you will be caught in the submarine base. You will need to see them both. To make Ryan lose his eye you will have to choose not to speak during the enemy interrogation, to save his eye you just need to speak as soon as they tell you to do so. So depending on which one you have, you just need to reload the game from the chapter with the submarine base and make the opposite choice during the interrogation continuing as described in STEP 3 and choosing Ryan in the Epilogue ).
STEP 4
-Ultimate the previous steps you will have to start again from the chapter "WITHOUT" by killing all the characters saved in STEP 1 and at the end choose to go OTHER in order to reunite with everyone A better world". Here's how to make the characters in question die from the "WITHOUT" chapter to "THE BLACK SUN":
-Jimmy and Walter- At the end of the chapter "WRONG", while the homeless house burns down, use Aiden to find and save ONLY Stan and Tuesday leaving the other 2 trapped in the flames to die.
-Paul- At the end of the chapter "NAVAJO", after Paul has been hurt, talk to Shimasani immediately without going to treat Paul with Aiden first and finish the chapter without helping him.
-Norah- In the only chapter where you meet her, before leaving the room, use Aiden to give him the rest he deserves by blocking his heart.
-Cole- In the chapter "THE BLACK SUN", as soon as Cole is wounded and falls to the ground, continue towards Ryan leaving Cole to his fate.
-Ryan- At the end of the chapter "THE BLACK SUN", during the dialogue with Nathan, answer in a detached way and as soon as the game asks you, answer in a cold way. In this way Ryan will die trying to save you.
STEP 5
-Back to the main menu, replay the chapter "THE BLACK SUN" just as you did in STEP 4, but this time choose LIFE. In this way you will unlock more cut-scenes and a chapter "EPILOGUE" in which you can change your choice 3 times. You only need to replay this new chapter to unlock many more cut-scenes then:
( You can make the following choices in any order ).
-Choose JAY and return to the main menu reload the Epilogue. Paul is dead.
-Choose ZOEY and return to the main menu and reload the Epilogue. Walter and Jimmy are dead.
-Choose to stay ONLY.
At this point, back to the main menu after seeing the credits for the umpteenth time, you should hear the familiar "DLING" warning you of the trophy's arrival. If this does not happen it means that for one reason or another you have lost one of the small cut-scenes that make up the various endings and that you can see in the video at the start of the drive.
