The New Year has arrived, and no, not the 7th year of our studies at Hogwarts, but the year outside of Wizarding World. And the first event we've had at Hogwarts Mystery this year is Full Marks. However, unlike most of the previous ones, which rewarded us with certain clothing items, this one has a very unique reward - the whole dorm room decor.
It might appeal to some players, but some others… not as much. Nonetheless, there are other great rewards that players can earn during this event. If you end up in the first 3 places, you will win 3 gold books. The Top 6 will grant you 4 blue notebooks, while being in the top 12 will reward you 7 red notebooks. Finally, there are 500 coins as a reward for everyone who participates in the event.
Full Marks Events is probably the best way to earn notebooks, especially the gold ones. However, in order to rank in the top 3 spots, you must actively participate in the event while it is going on. You can find more information on this in our Full Marks event guide for Hogwarts Mystery. There's also another nice way to make sure you land in the top spots and earn most of the rewards. If you and some other players are tied in the same spot, you will all earn the same rewards regardless of how many players are tied. For example, if five players all have 3000 points at the end of the Full Marks event and are all tied for first place, they will ALL earn first place rewards. For this reason, it is often beneficial to try to connect with the rest of the community and try to get a tie at the end of the event. It is precisely for this reason that some members of the Hogwarts Mystery community created the submarriage for exactly this purpose. It's called HPHMGroupFinder, and there you can search for players who are competing with you in order to communicate with them and win a tie. That way, you won't have to worry too much about the event, and you'll end up earning much better rewards, so you might want to check it out.
It's also worth noting that this event lasts just under 7 days and ends on Thursday, January 9 at 12 p.m. PDT (20 p.m. CET).
