Darksiders: Genesis will be released on December 5. It's an interesting title, which mixes Diablo 'style of shooting and loot with the Darksiders franchise. The top-down hack and slash adventure features two horsemen, War and Strife, the latter of which is new to the series. Although the game serves as a prequel to the entire franchise, players will be informed of the events leading up to the first Darksiders game and what led to it.
Darksiders: Genesis is set to release for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Google Stadia and Steam. However, the game will first arrive on PC on December 5. If you plan to play on your console with a friend, you must wait until February 14, 2020 to enter the game.
The game will remain close to its roots, however, with players expected to solve fun puzzles and take part in high-rise boss battles. Because Darksiders: Genesis features two horsemen, players can work with a friend to navigate their way through the game by playing online or sharing a screen.
While console gamers have to wait until early 2020 to play, the developers, Airship Syndicate, who have been working on Battle Chasers: Nightwar, have time to optimize the game's platform for consoles. It's best to make sure everything is ok and working before shipping it out.
PC gamers still have time to pre-order the game for Steam or Google Stadia if they haven't already. The game is set to release at midnight on the East Coast, which means West Coast players could get it early at 21:00 p.m. PST, but we don't have a specific timeline.
For those on a console, you can pre-order your copy for the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and Xbox One at multiple storefronts.
