In a Perfect World, Crysis: Remastered should already be in your game library. However, Crytek has had a hectic summer, as the game developer received a lot of negative feedback from the remaster's dull first trailer. However, Crytek slowly finds his way back to good graces. The reception of the recently released Switch version is very positive, and now it looks like Crysis: Remastered will finally see the light of day on consoles very soon.
PlayStation UK affiliate YouTube channel PlayStation Access posted a video highlighting all the games coming this week to PlayStation 4 and, unexpectedly, Crysis: Remastered is one of them. The team states, in the reel, that the enhanced version of the 2007 shooter will be released on Friday, August 21.
For now, the YouTube video is still on their channel, but Crytek has yet to comment on the apparent leak. So either Crytek was late in officially announcing the date and forgot about Access's weekly video recap, or maybe the PlayStation team received the wrong information. Regardless, fans should keep an eye on the developer's Twitter for if this is true.
If so, Xbox and PC users will likely be able to purchase the game on the same date, as their original July 23 release date was the same as the PS4 before the delay was announced. As for the price, the Switch's render is going up to $ 29,99 / £ 26,99, and we'd be shocked if it were any different on consoles and PCs.
