Gotham Knights will allow players to step into the cloaks of a cast of heroic characters and take on the villains of Gotham City. DC comics have all kinds of variant stories, different characters, and an assortment of origin stories, which can get a little confusing. If you are wondering exactly which version of each character will be in the game, this article is for you.
Bat girl
Batgirl is Barbara Gordon, daughter of the now deceased Gotham City Police Commissioner Jim Gordon. In the official character writing, it is mentioned that Barbara has spent years recovering and is now ready to take on the role of Batgirl. This strongly implies that Barbara was injured by The Joker, as detailed in The Killing Joke. Whatever the cause of her injuries, Barbara is back and reading to hit some morons using her tonfa and extensive training in kickboxing, capoeira and jiu-jitsu.
Nightwing
Nightwing is Dick Grayson, the original Robin. Nightwing's own talents and leadership streak are the reason he left the role of Robin, becoming a hero in his own right. His acrobatic experience perfectly complements his skill with Escrima sticks, turning his entire body into a weapon.
Red Riding Hood
Red Hood is Jason Todd, the second Robin. As a talented fighter, much of Todd's courage and determination comes from anger. Todd has tasted death before, having been killed by the Joker. He was then resurrected by one of Batman's most dangerous and cunning enemies, Ra's al Ghul. Red Hood is incredibly strong yet ruthless and prone to extreme violence. He is however loyal to his friends.
Robin
Robin is Tim Drake, noted for his incredible intellect as well as his physical abilities. He is deeply loyal to Batman's ideals and stealthily engages in bringing down his enemies. He is also gifted in the fields of psychology and behavioral science, which he uses to instill fear in Gotham's criminals.
