Why dive into the mobile game The Zombie 2: Zombie Shooter? Why go for another zombie shooter? The multitude of zombie games in the mobile gaming market has had several positive effects across the industry. The first is that stiff competition forces developers to always improve their products. And, this title has brought several innovative and advanced improvements to the FPS genre. When it comes to mobile phone games, we're not looking at the PC version of Steam, which has its own perks and is slated for a release date in August 2019. Now we're moving on to the Android and iOS app.
Development and Reception [19659003] The Walking Zombie 2 is both developed and published by Alda Games, a studio in Brno, Chechen Republic. When it comes to mobile games, they hide behind titles like Build Battle Craft, World War Polygon, Crafting Dead: Pocket Edition and others, all of which are interesting and innovative. On Google Play, The Walking Zombie 2: Zombie shooter Android scored 4,6 stars out of over 23 votes, which is impressive. The iOS version of the game has not yet been released, it seems. The history
The game begins with a disturbing scene. A pregnant mother has been infected with the zombie virus and she gives birth to a baby whose zombie mutation is approaching. She is in a camp with other human survivors, who are all wondering whether or not she should be killed immediately. The baby is born moments before the last turn and the zombie mother is shot dead as she kills two humans at the camp. This baby is you and it is through this prologue that you choose a name for your character or that you log in with your customer account.
This starting scene is also the one where you will find your tutorial part of the game, killing zombies and saving the newborn. This unborn baby is considered the birth of a hero for mankind and it is believed that it is this child who will end the war. The story moves forward 20 years, as our hero turns 20 and gets drunk in a human camp. You're about to meet the members and take down the zombies and the rest of the game is pure gold as far as the story goes, so fear no more.
The storytelling ability of The Walking Zombie 2 is quite surprising. At first glance, it looks like a low budget game whose main privilege is shooting zombies. However, he's, in fact, story-based and pretty good at it. All of the characters you meet are very lively and the dialogue is particularly realistic and good, and people really speak like a bunch of post-apocalyptic zombies. In addition, this game has its own sense of humor and the concern to keep the player in suspense and entertained, not just busy.
gameplay
The Walking Zombie 2 is a Zombie Shooter, as the name obviously suggests, but this game has well-organized FPS mechanics and controls. It brings several new solutions to old first-person shooter problems, at least for mobile phone gaming. These innovations are mostly about the almighty inventory button which in this game has it all. This is a simplified and ultimate method of organizing RPG and progression elements in an FPS mobile game.
First, its control system is absurdly simple, but it does the job perfectly. As in many other FPS mobile games, you swipe the screen with one finger to move, and with the other finger to aim. But, in this game, the entire screen is divided into two equal fields for this purpose. You can drag any part of the screen that you select that is designated for movement, choosing it from the options. Swiping anywhere on the other half will aim. Double-tap the in-view portion of the screen or hold it a little longer to zoom into aim mode and the shot is automatically performed.
Second and biggest advantage of this competitor games shooter is its ultimate inventory game mechanic. In the Walking Zombie 2 mobile game, everything you need is right in your inventory screen, including map and area controls, character progression and evolution, items, ammo, rewards and money, etc. This means that you have to go to another area to continue certain actions. Quests are done by simply entering your inventory, selecting the area and entering the word "trip". No more wandering around and looking for the right direction, just three taps and off you go.
Graphics
This is where this game stays true to old-school pixel art, mostly resembling the early editions of Minecraft. Okay, it's a bit more advanced than that, but the models are basic, the textures are robust, the rendering and shading is nonexistent, but it also makes the game smooth and takes up little memory space. Overall, you will quickly get used to its appearance and be rewarded accordingly.
Verdict
The Walking Zombie 2: Zombie shooter mobile game is a must. try for all FPS lovers who want a good zombie pocket shooter game. It's very story-based and has incredibly well-sorted controls. Its graphics are a little simplified. It's the creepiest pixel art out there, but overall it's a great way to spend some time.
