Wiko View 4 Lite review
We are used to talking about futuristic folding, increasingly expensive top of the range and devices that fight for the dominance of the mid-range but in reality there is a slice of users who are not interested in this kind of smartphone. There are those who are not willing to spend more than 100-150 euros for a device that does the basic tasks well: online browsing, messaging, calls and social networks. Wiko View 4 Lite was created precisely to meet the needs of this type of user and does so with above average autonomy, a large display and essential software. We talk about it in detail in this review.
Solid and light
Don't expect fine materials. In fact, I remind you that we are talking about a smartphone from 129,99 € and, as a result, Wiko could only opt for a polycarbonate shell. However, this does not mean that the smartphone is not solid: lhe build quality is excellent plus we have quite a device in our hands read despite the abundant display da 6,52″.
The latter, an IPS with HD + resolution, performs quite well in everyday use: the color rendering is satisfactory and the maximum brightness, although not very high, allows you to use the smartphone even outdoors.
In the center of the screen we find a small teardrop notch that houses the 5 megapixel front camera, while on the back we have 3 different sensors, accompanied by LED flash located under the camera module. The sides instead host the power button and the volume rocker on the right, while on the left we find a knurled button dedicated to Google Assistant and the slot for two SIMs and the microSD. On the upper edge we have the 3,5 mm jack, on the lower one we finally find the speaker and the microUSB connector. No, no USB-C unfortunately.
We also point out the presence of a small notification LED, positioned to the right of the front camera, while the fingerprint reader is absent. So how to unlock the device? Simple: you can opt for a PIN / password / pattern or use the excellent rface recognition.
Wiko View 4 Lite review: two days of autonomy
Wiko View 4 Lite relies on rather basic hardware: a Mediatek MT6762D processor 1,8 Ghz, PowerVR 8320 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. So don't expect excellent performance. The components are sufficient to handle the basic operations but nothing more. Extreme multitasking and gaming are not for him.
At your disposal, however, you have 32 GB of memory, expandable via microSD, monoband WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2 and FM radio. On the other hand, NFC is absent for digital payments.
The operating system is Android 10, currently updated with the security patch of June 2020. To enrich it there are the Wiko functionality, available in the menu item of the same name; here you will find one-handed mode, notification LED settings, game mode, gestures and much more. All this to adapt the smartphone to your needs.
The only real flaw on the software front is the presence of pre-installed applications. An incomprehensible choice in a smartphone that offers basic performance and that certainly does not need to be burdened with additional apps. Don't worry though: you can uninstall all the applications you don't need.
Then we come to the real flagship of Wiko View 4 Lite: the battery. With its 4.000 mAh it manages to cover up to two days of standard use. If, on the other hand, you usually squeeze your smartphone, you can still get to the end of the day without having to resort to the classic power bank.

The camera
The rear photographic compartment of Wiko View 4 Lite is composed as follows:
- a main sensor from 13 megapixel;
- a 5 megapixel wide-angle lens;
- a 2 megapixel sensor dedicated to the bokeh effect.
The shots obtained are more than acceptable considering the price range of the smartphone, thanks to HDR - which acts autonomously - and artificial intelligence. Of course all this in good light conditions. At night the situation worsens considerably and the night mode is of no use.
Instead, the front camera is sufficient but if you love selfies madly it is probably not the smartphone for you.
