LITTLE M3 is a low-end smartphone that does not go unnoticed thanks to its particular design that differs from most of the devices released in the last period. Let's find out all the features of the POCO M3 in the full review.
POCO M3 review: a good bright display
POCO M3 has a shell in rough plastic, particular to the touch and above all different compared to other smartphones that are placed in the same price range. The feeling in the hand is of ssolidity and resistance, also thanks to the 199 grams of weight, even if at times the plastic seems a bit slippery and holds fingerprints a lot. The large shiny rectangle placed on the back, where the cameras are present.
The display is a FullHD + IPS, with resolution 1080 x 2340 pixels, 6,53 inches: it is a good display, with excellent brightness and good color fidelity. On the upper part of the display there is the front camera inside a teardrop notch. The fingerprint sensor is instead placed on the right side, integrated with the on and off button. We found it quite accurate and very fast.
Also on the right side there is the volume balance wheel, on the upper part we find the 3,5mm headphone jack and on the left side there is a triple slot, with the possibility of inserting two SIMs and a microSD to expand the memory. Charging takes place through USB-C and supports 18W fast charging, even if the power supply in the box is 22W. The audio compartment of the smartphone consists of two stereo speakers that do their job very well.
What's under the body
POCO M3 has a very respectable technical data sheet, always keeping in mind the price range in which it is placed. The processor is one Snapdragon 662 octa core da 2 GHz combined with one Adreno 610 GPU and 4GB of RAM memory. The smartphone is available in variants from 64 or 128GB of internal memory which, we recall, is expandable via microSD.
The smartphone is equipped with Dual band ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, infrared port and FM radio. Unfortunately there is no NFC chip, essential to be able to make payments with the device. We had no reception problems and the Wi-Fi connection is very stable.
Autonomy is one of the strong points of POCO M3, cwith its 6000mAh it is capable of covering a day and a half of intense use very well, which stretch to more than two with more moderate use.
To move everything is there MIUI of Xiaomi with the addition of Poco launcher which adds some functionality to the smartphone. Among these we find, for example, the possibility to sort the applications according to the color of the icon or to clone the applications. POCO M3 is not a lightning bolt, we have noticed some slowdown in daily use, but it must always be remembered that it is a low-end smartphone. From this point of view, usability is much more pleasant than other models that can be purchased at the same price, even in gaming.
POCO M3 review: photos and videos
The photographic sector consists of three cameras. The main sensor is 48 megapixel f / 1.8, then there are a sensor that improves the blur and a macro, both from 2 megapixel f / 2.4. Inside the drop notch there is the 8 megapixel front camera.
The photographic part is the sector where POCO M3 shows to be a low-end smartphone and where it suffers a little. The shots are good in optimal lighting conditions, the same cannot be said when there is less light: the photos, in that case, lose a lot of details. The same goes for the night mode which leaves something to be desired. POCO M3 is able to record videos in FullHD at 30fps with decent quality but poorly stabilized.

POCO M3 review: buy it or not
POCO M3 is a low-end smartphone with a list price of 159 euros for the 64GB version and 179 euros for the 128GB version, but currently they are on Amazon respectively around 140 and 150 euros. At this figure it is obvious having to make some compromises, such as the fact that it is not a cameraphone, however he manages to come out with his head held high in every area. The autonomy that covers the two days of normal use can make this POCO M3 an excellent forklift to be used in more situations. It is also valid as a main smartphone, as long as you don't have too many pretensions.
