Target four stages: Neptune which will bring you to certain areas to complete defined activities.
Target: Neptune isn't adding a new mode to the game, opting instead to recycle existing content you've probably played before in The Division 2. There are four "tips" you need to collect if you want to lure the rogue agent. to hide, and each clue has few objectives that you need to complete before you unlock it.
You'll need to take down three checkpoints, a bounty, and a mission in three specific areas of West DC for the first three clues, and you'll need to defeat one of the strongholds for the fourth. These objectives will appear on the map as yellow chevrons. These requirements are listed below:
- Index # 1
- Zone - Constitution Hall
- Three checkpoints
- One Bounty
- Mission - DCD Headquarters
- Zone - Constitution Hall
- Index # 2
- Zone - Misty background
- Three checkpoints
- One Bounty
- Mission – Potomac Event Center
- Zone - Misty background
- Index # 3
- Zone – West End
- Three checkpoints
- One Bounty
- Mission - Federal Emergency Bunker
- Zone – West End
- Index # 4
- Fort Place - Roosevelt Island
These objectives are no different from those in The Division 2 projects, and they can be completed on any difficulty (except Story). So here's my advice: If you want to get through the Target: Neptune event, set the game to normal difficulty. Guidelines affect experience gained more than difficulty, so if you want additional season experience while removing this checklist, turn them on.
Once all four clues have been obtained, you will pull Neptune out of the shadows and receive its location. Head to the waypoint and complete the task marked to spawn and then kill Target: Neptune.
And that's it: that's really all there is to it. Three weeks after this event, the next one will trigger - Target: Venus, which will work the same. Until then, check out our guides and tips for The Division 2: Warlords of New York.
