Definitely one of the best emulators you can get, especially since it is made by a team with a long experience of emulation (coming from the PC version). It is very stable and supports a good amount of features (even split-screen) including a way to improve the graphics of the game itself. Definitely the first choice to make when we are interested in emulating a PS1 game.

Classicboy
Classicboy is not a specialized PS1 emulator, but rather a multi-emulator. You can run any type of game (there is currently a list of all supported consoles) but as far as accuracy is concerned, it also does quite well. It has a good amount of features, even if it's nothing really unique to do with the rest.

FPse
If, on the other hand, you love customization, FPse may be the most suitable choice. This emulator is the one that can compete the most against ePSXe in terms of stability and functions, with a lot of Plugins and extras to put on it anytime you want to change something. This makes the emulator very flexible, potentially you can run it in almost all Smartphones: just change the Plugin with one that will allow you to make the game lighter, or if you have a powerful enough mobile phone you can opt for one that will make it more nice.

Matsu PSX Emulator
While the title says PSX, Matsu is actually a multi-emulator like ClassicBoy. It shows a very simple interface, but easy and ingenious. It is very stable, but occasionally shows some wrinkles. It is still one of those good emulators that you can find around if you want to have an all-in-one solution.
